Signed up to SSE - Due to be activated 7th June 2016

Hi,
I just wanted to say 'Hello' - I've just registered on the forums after finding out about you through HUKD.
I've signed up to SSE Broadband myself and are due to be activated on 7th June.
I e-mailed them a few times to query the process and they have always got back to me quite quickly (within 24 hours). They confirmed to me that they don't give a guaranteed speed, but a speed range.
The broadband router hasn't been delivered yet, but I will let you know when it is and run some speedtests.
Thanks

This is the e-mail reply I received from them when asking about a guaranteed speed.
Dear Mr XXXXX,
The products we use we are unable to provide a figure for MGALS as they use an 'up to' speed for ADSL and a 'range' between clean and impacted for Fibre.
So, on this basis the Fibre range for your line shows between 22.4mbps (impacted) - 58.1mbps (clean). I hope this gives you the necessary information, should you require any further details then please don't hesitate to contact us.
Kind Regards

Hello!
Another Hudder here, I am signed up to activate on the 8th. Never spoken to SSE and TCB tracked fine.

Hi,
Have you received any correspondence or the router in the post yet ? - The only emails I have had from them were the automated ones when I first ordered and the answers to my enquiries.
Thanks

Hi guys, another hukd member, the router will just turn up but to be honest any questions, problems I would phone them. I was very impressed and got through straight away.
I think it's generic email about engineer and it does say with the router you won't need an engineer if you already have an openreach socket fitted. (I already have)
I think I am going over on June 21 according to BT email I got, SSE haven't told me this but I reckon couple of days before I will hear.
Again as soon as I find out I will share info, speeds etc.
I use something like torrents and stream a lot of footy, game etc so my usage will be high but hoping it's going to be OK.
If it's not I will kick up a stink and see what happens but I think like someone said in the forums, we are the guinea pigs so hopefully they will keep us happy
Anyway well done Admin for setting this up and I look forward to helping if I can.

Hi.
Yesterday we signed up to Ultra Fast Broadband and Anytime Calls at £21.
Worryingly we haven't received the two automated emails that have been referred to by others but I guess they could have mistyped the address.
We'll see!

Thanks.
Well I have since received an email to activate my online account so they did have the correct email address!
They said they'll send a 4 digit own number to be used.
