thanks, yes I've been using those and found there to be some irreguralities between the results, but it's good to see whats being managed and what isn't.

I've got SSE supposedly sending an engineer out to check my connections etc, i've told them it's nothing to do with me, but it's their traffic management/over subscribed service in this area.

Speedtests below - overall getting good speeds. Some slow down in the evening but doesn't impact gaming or streaming

that's not too bad, I wouldn't have an issue if I had a useable connection at peak times, but if I'm streaming video it lags/stops etc. I can't stream HD after 8pm, as the connection gets so slow.

If you are the only person in the world using Netfix, that'd be poor. Unacceptable even. But I dare say there may be one or twelve million others doing the same thing....

Suggesting the issue lies with Netflix? Given that there is generally a media frenzy at the slightest technical issue at Netflix and other broadband providers not having these issues the blame sits with SSE.

well I've had the engineer out and he couldn't find a fault, got an email from SSE yesterday saying that the engineer had been and that they were waiting for a report, but were advised that the fault had been fixed, when there was no fault.

fun and games, I was still having problems Monday evening, and doing tests tonight had the same issue at after 8pm!!! Tonights wonderful speed tests 5.28mb down using testmy.net....
