Switch over not going well..

Post by pcdoctor » Wed Aug 03, 2016 11:19 pm

Hi all,

Just switched over from BT and i'm getting terrible performance!

The supplied router keeps losing sync randomly and my solid 75/20 service with BT has dropped to 9/8!

Is there any way to configure the BT supplied HG612 to accept the SSE (DAISY) signal?

I have modded the HG612 to have the GUI etc via LAN2 but I can see nowhere I can enter the other necessary info... (SSE username / password and VDSL channel)

Any ideas, folks?

This solution would be ideal for me as the supplied router also has poor wifi range so hooking up the HG612 to use as the modem and then plugging it into my Netgear router would solve this (and hopefully stop the dropouts but I suspect the speed issue is a problem at the exchange).

Just wondered if you had managed to resolve this?

I believe the BTOR modem will just connect to any line. It is plugging in the router that will need the sign in credentials.
