BT caused all our problems

We signed with SSE a year ago. The SSE side of the move was pretty straightforward and we got that fantastic deal they were doing. We were moving house so it was a new line.

Sadly, the seller of the house didn't tell us he was on Virgin and that there was no BT line. BT were hopeless. Failed to turn up to install lines, turned up, sucked their teeth about how big a job it was & could they go do another small one nearby & come back, please? Never did (Mrs almost strangled for letting them leave) and wouldn't come back for another 2 weeks as their engineer had been to the house.

SSE quickly sorted us out with discounts to the first three months bills for the inconvenience BT had put us to.

Haven't had a hiccough in teh service since and have just signed my parents up to switch from BT saving them £8/month. Here's hoping their switch goes smoothly.
