It is included for all 18 months of the 18 month contract.

Great if you have children and want to set up filtering, such as:

Block and filter any websites
Monitor instant messaging
Set you own time limit controls
Get a breakdown of usage
If installed on a laptop it works on any internet connection

Is it set to on by default? I haven't found a control panel yet, so imagine a call to support will be needed to switch it off.

No, it isn't enabled by default. There is an activation code that is supplied with the router.

Ah that's good. I thought they all had to be activated now?

I was looking for a SSE control panel rather than a NetIntelligence, but that will do for starters
