Re: Speed Test Results - Marksfish (Sandy Exchange)
So, BT have been out, they have cleared a fault which they said would not have impacted my service. I have gone back onto a bad gateway and these are the results:
I am just in the process of now insisting I am released from my contract penalty free. I am also going to claim compensation for the lost cashback that I will lose once I leave.

Just signed up to BT Infinity with free TV , gave it a bit longer but speeds didn't improve , will be gone in a couple of weeks.
Good luck , hope they don't play silly beggars with letting you go
I got £40 compo out of them and £30 for the missed engineer visit so at least i wont have paid for this dreadful experience, im not bothered about cashback i just want out !
This is mine tonight:

I was with BT before i moved to SSE , never ever had any downtime and speeds always maxed out 24/7
At least i know the max speed i can get is around 60mb so its a waste of time paying for Infinity 2
Only thing with BT is call centre staff in India are terrible, they kept lying to me as i overpaid a month and couldn't get it back, posted on the BT forum and it was resolved in a few days so that's they way to get something sorted if you have no luck at the call center , if you do go to BT

Have you been keeping note of your external IP address when doing the tests?
I have been having similar issues, and spoke to one of there guys saying that the OP address hasn't been refreshing correctly. Since this my speeds have been over 70, and netflix is streaming 2160, although early days as it was only the end of last week, it does seem to have improved, just hoping it isn't one of these lasts a few days and then goes to someone else.

The ip address has stayed the same for the last couple of weeks. I had noticed it was particularly sticky, but it suits me for it to stay the same as I was going to ask for a static one anyway.

As thought, it was back to normal with the sound stuttering on Netflix, and when finally okay, going between 720p and 1080p.
Going to have to push for termination with no fee.

Its too unreliable IMO, up and down like a yo yo
They really need to sort it out , i thought the idea of the cheap deal was to get customer in and stay with them long term , people will be leaving in there droves and SSE will be getting a terrible reputation, it could be Daisy's capacity or it could be SSE not buying enough doubt we will find out tho, im one of the lucky ones i guess as i can leave penalty free
Have you had an engineer out yet j1mgg ?

I have had no response from my contact since demanding to leave, although the broadband team are sking for any information I may have to help with their investigations I would have thought they had far more access to information than I do!!
The hump is still there, and getting bigger.
You can clearly see the increase in sync, but the line is certainly not bery straight these days, still with a dip around 8pm:
Interestingly, TBB now reports a stable connection, compared to Testmynet above.
