Those spikes are oddly consistent throughout the day. Anything particular happen at certain intervals on your setup?

Yes. I am running a speedtest every 30 minutes. The solid red line this morning is where I rebooted the router.

Interesting how single thread and HTTP x 6 are evening out. It looks like something is going on to try and improve things overall, but still some way to go.

T be fair, general browsing isn't an issue. It is when I want to use the catch up services on the Sky box and they take forever to download that is the issue. Shouldn't really be that much of an issue as a traceroute shows that most of the peering is on Daisy servers.

A turn up for the books. New router and filter arrived today. Removed BT fitted faceplate and fitted filter and new router, then fired it up. Straight away a 10Mbs in sync speed. Tried to configure the router, but the default passwords aren't right, so I put the old router back on, still synced at 49Mbps, could be a dodgy BT faceplate!!!

Interesting! Hopefully the improvement remains but can't see it changing the congestion factor.

Me either, but interestingly I was comparing my TestmyNet results with TBB last night. They have both been pretty comparable over the last weeks during the slowdown. My TMN graph shows only a brief slowdown to 12Mbps & 21Mbps on those 2 nights. Interestingly, the TMN test was concurring yesterday with the BTW tester. Now the TBB test is recording much lower speeds than the others for some reason.

It seems like a lot of stuff is going on behind the scenes. Feels like they are working on issues overall but I guess it's not a simple quick fix.
