SSE/Daisy don't show real speeds on speedtest or BT speed test.

That site is not yet on SSE/Daisys list of priority traffic and will show your real speed.
I couldn't stream any 1080 or 4k stuff and I wondered why. Turns out Daisy are playing with the speed sites and show max speed on those but real world usage is just a few mbps at peak times.
So so annoyed that I've signed up to this and considering just getting cable internet at the same time and having sse for just the phone calls package at £21/m

Thanks for letting us all know.
I'm not yet transferred over but when I am (next week) I will be sure to do many speed tests using many different sites/tools - including the one you mentioned.
I've just tried it now on my existing BT connection and I'm getting the same results from speedtest.net and fast.com so will be interesting to try after the changeover.

That one is whitelisted too. The daisy to netflix uk server connection is not good enough in the evenings to hit 1080 let alone 4k.

Interesting thread, I am not experiencing this issue, my results have been consistent on different sites (35mb/s down 3-4mb/s up). I know the up speed is dire, but have had same problem in past with BT, so know it is not an SSE issue. More importantly the speed reported seems to tally with rates with applications, I can stream 1080p and 4k, both reasonably stable.

Just tried 'fast' again this morning and still the same 63 it was on Saturday night

I've just tried fast.com now (at 7:20pm) and it has dropped to 32Mbps - Much lower than the usual 55Mbps+ I have been getting.

I have had the same. On the site they tell you to go to (btwholesale) i get a 64mb result, on speediest, broadbandspeedchecker etc.. I barely get 5Mbs
Surely this is illegal as it is totally deceptive?
