Depends on BT/Openreach availability in your area - and THAT is the bottleneck. We have the capacity; if you have a standard line (ie- non-cable) and want to switch you'll be stuffed on a queue. If you're an SSE customer you'll be bumped up.

The official line is that we're not to offer it - but if an existing SSE customer asks about it, then promote. Pretty poor really.

Anyone can read into that what they wish - I can't comment (although I detest some policies - this being one of them).

So what about people who are lacking the standard lines? Can SSE sort that?
