Thinking of moving to Sky

Sky is on my shortlist of ISP's to go (back) to.

Cons: LLU network

Pros: Sky Fibre without TV for just £5 per month for 12 months £10pm thereafter)
£70 cashback via Quidco
£17.40pm line rental (PAYG calls and free caller id)
£39 activation fee

Have used them before and the service was always good, but you have to use their router.

I don't know if it is still available but I know they were doing free unlimited fibre for 12 months if you asked about it on their live chat - I know it works out the same as the cashback method, but if it is still available will save the risk of the cashback not paying out.

I also read a few years back that you could extract the login information from their supplied router and use it in your own - I'm not sure if this is still the case or whether it isn't possible anymore with their latest router model.

Please keep up updated on how you get on.

Decided to stay off the LLU this time, although it would have cured my telephone line issues!!

It has been decided to make the most of the BT offer this time, especially as it is only a 12 month contract. Will see what happens then.

Good luck with BT. Last time I was with them it was hell, the CS puts me off going back till something changes.
